Bookster was an application that I created my sophomore year at Moravian University in my UI/UX class. The idea of this application was to create a marketplace that targets mainly college students. Since we all know how costly college books can be, I decided that I would like to make an app that helps solve this problem. Most college students are pressured into buying expensive books for their classes, and when the semester is over they are stuck with a book that, in most cases, is placed on a shelf. My application allows these students to do something productive with these books. They can easily snap a picture of the book and list it up for sale or rent so that other students can make good use of it. The biggest problem that I faced was how to protect both parties’ privacy. I decided that the best solution for this problem was to place many drop-off and/or pick-up stations in different areas. Both parties have to agree on a station location using the texting feature placed within the app for one party to drop off the book and the other to pick it up. To complete this project, I used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and XD.
